Gabby Barrett

She was my favorite contestant when American Idol made its long-awaited return to the small screen last year. And despite the fact that she only came in 3rd place, I’ve remained a die-hard fan ever since the show!

Hold up. Did I forget to mention who this up and coming super star is?! Pardon me; I’m talking, obviously, about the adorable Gabby Barrett. She recently released her first single, ‘I Hope,’ and it’s been burning up the charts! Which is precisely why I was so excited to see that she’d be performing at the newly rebranded Radio Disney Music Awards. And by rebranded, I mean it is now called A Radio Disney Music Celebration, and it’s one big music fest minus the awards. Yeah, I don’t get it either.

In any case, as things are wont to turn out, (because I do have an adult life to live,) I did not get to watch Gabby perform in real time. But thanks to the Internet, I got to see her incredible performance of ‘I Hope,’ and Miley Cyrus’s, ‘The Climb,’ a day later. But you know what else I saw? Her arrival! And boy, oh boy, did she ARRIVE!! In a multi colored, sleeveless, sequined, evening body suit, no less! By Jovani Fashion, for inquiring minds. It was bright, it was somewhat geometric, but most of all it was fun, fresh, and age appropriate. She finished off her look with gold statement hoops, a messy pony, and a dewy makeup look. For someone who’s just entering the business, this was a home run! Good job, girl!

As for the rest of you gals, I got you covered with an equally insane look! I should calm down, right? We’re talking scrubs after all… But I do have a great piece in mind that’s reminiscent of Gabby’s summer perfect look. Do yourself a favor and order the Wonderwink Origins mock wrap scrub top in the color Swatcha Doin. It’s multicolored, is a bit geometric, and comes in more muted tones perfect for hospital decorum. Pair with a nice grey scrub pant and finish off the look by pulling your hair back into an effortless pony. Voila! The fan girl in me is proud:)
