Kylie Jenner: Boss Babe in a Blazer
Fun fact: According to Forbes Magazine, Kylie Jenner is poised to become the world’s youngest self-made billionaire, thanks in large part to the success of her cosmetics brand, Kylie Cosmetics. Yes, I’ll let that sink in for a moment before moving forward… 3…2…1… Ready?? Well, ready or not, let’s just say that Kylie dressed every bit the part when she showed up at the MTV Video Music Awards this past week to support her boyfriend, Travis Scott, who took the stage at NY’s Radio City Music Hall to perform some of his hit songs. Her outfit of choice, you ask? The blazer! And nothing, NOTHING, my dear fashion lovers, says boss babe like a blazer. Unless it’s a blazer DRESS! And Kylie went there. BAM!
Before we take Kylie’s look apart, piece by piece, I’ll have you know that Kylie arrived late to the VMA’s; fashionably late, that is. And I mean that in a literal and figurative sense. Down to business now! I’m sure you’re all genuinely curious to know who the genius behind this dress is. Right?! Well, it’s Tom Ford. Shocker? I think not. He did, and always does, such an impeccable job. This dress was white, it was double breasted, it was cinched at her tiny waist, and embellished just enough that it screamed chic and girl boss all at once. The diamond encrusted buttons and belt buckle really took it up a notch, as did the matching white nails and Olgana Paris white, satin, ankle strap heels. Her beauty look was in classic Kylie style. She did a matte, neutral face and wore her blond locks in a slick side sweep and chignon. A++ in my books!
Disclaimer: Don’t attempt this look pants-less. It probably won’t go over well with administration;) What you do want to do is get ahold of the Dickies Xtreme Stretch Snap Front lab coat. It’s simply the toned down version of Kylie’s super hot blazer dress. It’s even got these cool metal snaps down the front and at the pockets; reminiscent of the embellishments on the beauty mogul’s Tom Ford number. Pair with your favorite scrub pants, ‘cuz you know… you need pants… knot your hair, keep your makeup simple and neutral, and you will own those hallways. Promise!
