I may have been living under a rock, but I literally got wind of the fact that a Mary Poppins sequel was just released…TODAY. I know! Who am I?!? And despite the fact that I’m ?? years old, I’m actually excited about this holiday release! What better way to bring Poppins back and introduce her to the next generation of little ones than during the most magical time of year:) I had a concern, though; a concern that I’m sure every adult who has seen the 1964 adaptation had… Who can possibly fill the shoes of Julie Andrews; an icon and the original Mary Poppins?? Who, pray tell!? WHO??? Emily Blunt can, people. That’s right. All you’ve got to do is watch the trailer, and you just know that your childhood memories won’t be botched. In fact, she kills it (in a good way, y’know), and I’ll bet she does Julie Andrews proud! Buuut I’m getting ahead of myself, as the movie has literally just hit theaters. Let’s talk premieres instead!

The UK premiere of Mary Poppins Returns took place in the Disney-fied Royal Albert Hall. Emily Blunt matched the blue carpet in a magnificent Schiaparelli couture gown in royal blue silk. Long, flowy, and with blouson sleeves and a gathered neck, this masterpiece had her looking ever the regal nanny! She wore her blonde tresses in Old-Hollywood waves side parted and tucked behind her ears to reveal dazzling and shoulder skimming diamond earring, and as Poppins herself would say, looked ‘practically perfect in every way!’

One particular aspect of Emily’s look that I absolutely loved, is how feminine it was, yet modest. Staying within dress code and looking feminine can sometimes be an oxymoron in the nursing world. Not so with Heartsoul scrubs. Playful and girly, yet professional all at the same time, the items in the Heartsoul collection can really elevate your scrubs wardrobe. Take the Heartsoul Lovely v-neck top, in the color Royal, for example. Why? Because A) it looks like Emily’s Schiaparelli piece and B) it looks like Emily’s Schiaparelli piece!! Back to the matter at hand, though. It’s got that super ladylike gathered sleeve and sweetheart neckline, a modern and feminine silhouette, and yet it’s completely and totally work appropriate. Best of all, you can pair it with any one of Heartsoul’s equally stylish scrub pants. Bam! I rest my case, folks! See you at the theater!!
