Alright, folks! I’m going to let you all into my head for a moment. It’s February- so basically, it’s awards season all month long. Thought I’d do some Oscars fashion. Well, the Oscar’s came… annnnd the Oscars went. No problem- the Academy Awards! Yeah, that didn’t happen either. Sure, I can go back and rehash the fashion but it’s been done over and over and over again. You surely do not need my voice thrown into the mix as well. But have no fear! We, my dear friends have been saved by the Brits! Literally. The BRIT Awards were a mere couple of days ago and I can still confidently chew your ears off. And who have I chosen as my choice of celebrity to gush over?? Why, the lovely Ellie Goulding, that’s who!
Ellie Goulding is pop royalty. She’s got a killer voice, killer body, and killer sense of style. And although she wasn’t nominated this year, she presented the British Female Solo Artist Gong, (an award which she has previously won, btw) along with Jorja Smith, to Mabel. Let’s talk about her red carpet arrival, though, shall we? Here goes. The Love Me Like You Do artist showed up in a magnificent lace patchwork gown by Koche, with very daring cut out detailing. The colors were bold yet melded together beautifully. It was elegant yet striking. A 10 out of 10 in my opinion. She had her blonde locks pulled back into a low pony, with some face framing hairs left out in the front, and she kept her makeup rather neutral, choosing blush tones that complemented her face and didn’t detract from the focal point that was her gown.
What I love about a not so typical celebrity look, is that it usually translates into something more exciting for all you lovely nurses. And this is one of those ‘usually’ instances.
