Harmonizing in Black

They go by the name Fifth Harmony. Their fans call themselves Harmonizers. Oh, and they’re just the BIGGEST girl band out there right now! Give it up for Camila Cabello, Normani Kordei, Dinah-Jane Hansen, Ally Brooke Hernandez, and Lauren Jauregui. (Cue the applause!) What I personally L-O-V-E about these girls, aside for the fact that they’re each insanely talented and gaaaaw-geous, is their motto; girl brand before girl band. And as the only girl group in the USA really killing it right now, this is super important. So when they show up to a red carpet, the likes of the much talked about MTV Video Music Awards, and simply radiate girl power, you pay close attention!

Basically, these girls dressed up, showed up, and slaaaaayed. Big time! Oh, and then they also won. Big time, as well! Their song, ‘Work from Home’ featuring Ty Dolla, won Best Collaboration, and their song, ‘All In My Head,’ won Song of the Summer. But back to the fashion; y’know the stuff that matters most;) These girls nailed it in some serious LBDs designed by the one and only Michael Costello. While they took care to coordinate in all black ensembles, each member of the group managed to showcase her unique personality with her look. There were fringes, sexy cutouts, thigh high slits, high necklines and a whole lot of confidence and sass! Whatever was going on here worked in a major way and I want in on the action. The key word here, I believe, is BLACK!

There ain’t nothing like a good black dress, my dears, and where you’re concerned, a good black scrub top. Black is slenderizing. Black is sophisticated. And black matches everything. For all practical purposes, you don’t need me when it comes to a basic black top, simply because they’re a dime a dozen. But here’s the catch; you DO need me. Why? Because they’re a dime a dozen! Behold, the Grey’s Anatomy Signature Two Pocket Notched Neck Top. You’re super welcome for doing all that legwork for you. This top is everything you need in a black uniform top. It’s simple, yet sophisticated, has a delicate v-neckline that shows just the slightest hint of skin, and since we’re dealing with a world far removed from red carpets and award shows, I’ve got to mention that it’s quite practical as well. You’ll feel like a million dollars in this one, guaranteed. The best part? You can pair it with literally anything. You know what I would say though, right? You’ve got to do black scrub pants! Karl Lagerfield once said, ‘One is never overdressed or underdressed in a little black dress.” I rest my case.
